The Vermont Law School incorporates an environmental law program for several fields of study. This area of legal studies analyzes the environmental policies of government, nonprofit companies, and corporations in the areas of environmental law and energy, for example. Certain real life litigation cases are followed.

There are other areas of application, and these areas of study are the following:

  1. Global warming is often a matter of concern for government agencies and for private companies. Global warming can create endangered rivers and endangered species. There are various wildlife applications that have created current litigation.
  2. Environmental and energy law are important areas of legal application. Recently, there have been major oil spills that have caused damage to natural parks and damage to private industries.
  3. Environmental taxation is one area of application that is important in today’s economy.
